Decisions of the representative council
The representative council of the student union HUMAKO met for the regular spring meeting on 23 April 2024 and for the 4th extra meeting on 15 May 2024. At the meetings, the representative council confirmed documents of the year 2023, approved the equality plan and made personnel selections for representative positions.
Activity report and financial statements 2023
HUMAKO’s board presented the representative council with the activity report and financial statements of year 2023. The representative council confirmed both as approved. Also the accounts and operational audit reports were confirmed and the 2023 operators were released from liability.
Personal choices
The representative council elected a student representative to the board of Humanistinen ammattikorkeakoulu Oy for the term 2024-2025. Elina Liekkinen was elected as the student representative.
Maya Lehtinen was elected to HUMAKO’s central election committee as chairman and Christian Karau, Ninni Makkonen, Miisa Mäki, Susanna Punkari and Tarita Paqvalin-Kalliomäki were elected as members. The task of the Central Election Board is to organize elections for the representative council.
Membership fee for the academic year 2024-2025
The representative council had an extensive discussion about the size of the student union membership fee. The representative council decided to lower the prices of long-term memberships. The following prices were decided as the membership fee for the academic year 2024-2025:

- Academic year 45.00 €
- 2 years 72.00 €
- 3 years 100.00 €
- 3.5 years 115.00 €
- 4 years 120.00 €
Equality plan 2024-2027
The representative council approved a new equality plan for HUMAKO, which is valid until 2027. The equality plan directs HUMAKO’s internal operations to be more equal and provides support in various matters concerning equality.
