HUMAKO’s Representative Council Elections 30.10.-6.11.2024

The HUMAKO Central Election Committee approved a total of 17 applications for the Representative Council. With more than 15 candidates, the Student Union will organise the elections entirely electronically, in accordance with the decision of the Central Election Committee. The voting period starts on 30 October at 9.00 and ends on 6 November at 15.00.

You can find your candidate via the introductions or the voting machine! On the HUMAKO website, you can find out more about the candidates from 21.10.2024 and on the same day, the election machine will open, giving you the candidates’ opinions on the various issues. The candidates will also introduce themselves on HUMAKO’s social media. The links to the voting form and the candidates’ presentations will be added to the Representative Council section of the HUMAKO website. 

The Representative Council is made up of Humak students and the members of the Council are called representatives. The Assembly exercises the highest decision-making power in the Student Union and guides the activities of the Student Union Board in order to maintain the day-to-day running of the Student Union. The Representative Council meets live three times a year in Helsinki, and additional meetings are held online if necessary.

The tasks of the Representative Council include.

  • Election of Board members and student representatives
  • Approving the documents governing the activities of the HUMAKO Board
  • Deciding on the Student Union’s strategy and other governing documents
  • Deciding on the student body’s membership fee
