Personnel changes in HUMAKO

There’s been personnel changes in Student Union HUMAKO. Kaisa Manner has started as the new specialist and Aleksi Niemi has started as the deputy executive director. Executive director Suvi Torikka is on parental leave beginning on 20.6.

Aleksi Niemi has begun his tenure at HUMAKO’s executive director on 3.6.2024. Executive director is responsible for the finances and administration in HUMAKO. In addition to this the director handles planning and improving HUMAKOs activities and stakeholder contacts together with the chairs of the board.

Aleksi has prior experience as the National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK’s educational affairs advisor and communications and advocacy coordinator. In addition he has held positions of responsible f.ex in Tampere Student Union TREYs board. Aleksi especially brings experience regarding administration and advocacy to HUMAKO.

It’s great returning to work within the Student Union field and I’m looking forward to being responsible for HUMAKO’s administration. Kaisa Manner started as HUMAKOs new specialist on 1.4.2024. Specialist coordinates local activities and membership services. Kaisa is the head of HUMAKO boards local activities team so her work involves coordinating with  tutors divisions and teams to create a sense of togetherness. In addition membership services such as customer service, product sales and supporting in creating events are part of her work. 

Kaisa has previously been active on HUMAKOs board and as the chair of the representative council. As such the Student Unions activities are familiar to her. Kaisa has a lot of experience with Student Union so she is a true expert in student life at HUMAKO.
