The Student Union HUMAKO’s quarter-century celebration will take place in Tampere on March 1, 2025, at the Komediateatteri. Welcome to celebrate HUMAKO’s 25th anniversary!

The annual gala is a prestigious event where HUMAKO commemorates the time since its founding. In 2025, HUMAKO turns 25! At the event, guests will enjoy a three-course vegan dinner with drinks, listen to speeches, and enjoy various entertainment. After the main event, the night continues with an afterparty, and the next day, attendees can recharge at the Sillis (traditional post-party brunch) before heading home.
During the celebration, we kindly ask that you remain seated during dining, speeches, and program segments unless instructed otherwise. There will be several breaks throughout the evening, providing time to freshen up, chat with other guests, and visit the bar.
The seating arrangement is based on guests’ preferences, so if you and your friends have purchased tickets together, please remember to inform us of your seating requests!
DRESS CODE
HUMAKO’s annual celebration is a casually elegant event. We kindly ask attendees to wear evening attire, which can include a long dress, a pantsuit, or other formal wear (e.g., festive overalls or a stylish shirt-and-trousers combination).

AFTERPARTY & SILLIAAMIAINEN (SILLIS)
The afterparty location will be revealed to attendees during the main event. However, we can share that it will be somewhere in central Tampere!
The next day, the Silliaamiainen (Sillis) kicks off at 1:00 PM at Tamko’s sauna facilities. In addition to sauna access, there will be fun activities and snacks.
Sillis tickets are sold separately, and you can attend even if you weren’t at the annual celebration the night before!

LOCATION – Why Tampere?
HUMAKO’s annual celebrations are held approximately every 2–3 years. The previous event took place in Jyväskylä in 2023, when HUMAKO turned 23. Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to experience at least one annual celebration during their studies.
The event location rotates between different student cities where HUMAK operates. This year, Tampere was chosen due to its central location, the celebration of a new campus, and the great selection of venues. The next annual celebration will take place in a different HUMAK regional unit!
ACCOMMODATION
We have negotiated special accommodation offers for attendees in Tampere:
🏨 Dream Hostel & Hotel – Enjoy a 10% discount on hotel, hostel, and apartment stays using the code HUMAKO25when booking through their website. The discount code is valid until February 16.
🏨 Scandic Hotels – Use the code EVNT at checkout to potentially receive an additional discount when paying for your room immediately. To confirm the reservation, guests must provide valid credit card details. Rooms can be booked up to 10 days before arrival, subject to availability.
🏨 Omena Hotel – Stay at weekday prices during the annual celebration weekend by using the code NSNHUMAKO59. Reservations must be made at least one week before arrival.
TRAVELING TO TAMPERE
Unfortunately, we were unable to secure discount codes for public transportation to Tampere. However, we recommend taking advantage of student discounts offered by VR (trains), Matkahuolto (buses), and OnniBus.
Within Tampere, you can easily get around using the tram or other public transport. Tickets can be purchased conveniently via contactless payment on board or through the Nysse app. 🚋
